Sealed Air brings back Professor Packaging for FACHPACK
Packaging Manufacturer Sealed Air has announced the long-awaited return of Professor Packaging, who joined them on stand at FACHPACK to unveil an ‘Einstein inspired’ moment of genius.
The Professor first appeared in the company’s ‘Will It Break’ video series, which gained hundreds of thousands of YouTube views after launching in 2012. The series saw the quirky Professor joined by his precious egg as he tested Sealed Air Protective Packaging solutions under extreme damage conditions.
‘Will It Break’ saw the Professor’s egg packaged up and thrown out of a plane, blown up, dragged around a race track at breakneck speeds, dropped from high altitudes by a drone and shot out of the sky by a shotgun. Sealed Air revealed that there wouldn’t be any such extremities this time, but that Professor Packaging would be unveiling a ‘scientific breakthrough’ inspired by Einstein!
Steve Dougan, Executive Director Marketing at Sealed Air explains: “The Professor has been busy tinkering in our Packaging Application Design Centres and had something of a scientific revelation. He’s certainly no Einstein, but has some very interesting thoughts about solving packaging challenges and improving sustainability throughout supply chains.”
Professor Packaging unveiled more at FACHPACK, where he challenged visitors to solve his puzzle, with rewards for those who were the fastest on the day.
